US Employment Report – Graphic of the Day

Job growth in May was the weakest in a year and employers added far fewer jobs in the prior two months than previously reported as numbers were negatively adjusted. Employers created 69,000 jobs last month, the Labor Department said today, the fewest since May last year. Economists polled by Reuters had expected nonfarm payrolls to increase 150,000. Today’s graphic summarizes the US employment report with 4 charts: unemployment rate, change in non-farm payrolls, participation rate and average unemployment duration.
