Manila receives Quality Award from the President of the Philippines

Our Manila Operational Center received the Philippine Quality Award (PQA) Recognition for Commitment to Quality Management from the President of the Republic of the Philippines Benigno S. Aquino III, in formal ceremonies held at Malacanang Palace on December 12. Senior Site Officer and Head of Human Resources Peter Buenaseda and Quality Manager Ray Yulo received a sculpted glass trophy on behalf of the Thomson Reuters Manila delegation, composed of Manila senior managers and the PQA Steering Committee.

President Aquino lauded Thomson Reuters in his speech and said: “This is a company that has instilled what the awarding body calls an ‘improvement culture’ in their organization. Truly, this is something any office—and any government—should aspire for and especially since we don’t have any government agency awardee this year.  This is especially notable since this company works directly with foreign offices, and is living proof that the Filipino worker can compete on a global scale.” (more…)
