Picture of the Day – 6/26/12

Doreen Mylin inspects the damage to Magic Manatee Marina, her marina based in Homosassa, Florida, in the aftermath of Tropical Storm Debby.  20 inches of rain has fallen in some counties, and more was expected over the next couple days, as well as possible tornadoes.  Florida Governor Rich Scott called a statewide “state-of-emergency” as floodwater rose in the area, and President Obama said the National Guard is waiting by if needed.  Read more about Tropical Storm Debby and it’s effect on the Florida Panhandle and surrounding Gulf of Mexico areas.
