Partnerships in Korea and Hong Kong Allow for Exclusive Westlaw Content

We recently entered into agreements with the South Korean Fair Trade Commission and the Hong Kong Bar Association, to offer both exclusive Westlaw content.

The Korea Fair Trade Commission is a ministerial-level central administrative organization under the authority of the Prime Minister and also functions as a quasi-judiciary body. The Commission formulates and administers competition policies, and deliberates, decides, and handles antitrust cases. Recent government reforms in South Korea, its new legal education system and the recently signed free trade agreements with the U.S. and EU have spurred a demand for legal education and training in the country. The agreement includes hosting English-language content including legislation, decrees, regulations and trial decisions exclusively on Westlaw International.

In Hong Kong, Thomson Reuters (Sweet & Maxwell Hong Kong) is proud to be offering a series of new packages from Westlaw HK to the Hong Kong Bar Association to support barristers throughout pupilage, during their first years of practice as Young Bar and beyond. The new and enhanced offers are now available as the exclusively endorsed online research service provider to members of the Hong Kong Bar Association. Both partnerships are helping Thomson Reuters advance its position in Asia.
