Eagan employees get heart healthy and heart smart
Earlier in June, the Eagan Site Committee sponsored CPR/AED week on our Eagan campus to raise awareness on the importance of heart health and healthy living. Throughout the course of the week, 113 employees received free CPR certification.
Almost 400 employees attended the Heart Health Walk that began with powerful stories from Bruce Doll, Jane Anderson and two CPR survivors from the American Red Cross.
CPR/AED Week also featured highly-applicable educational presentations. Sodexo dietician Deb Sheets delivered a valuable presentation on bone health and Sodexo Executive Chef Emmet Fennessey presented a cooking demonstration titled “Summer Healthy Grilling.”
We had an amazing educational and fun week with a great turnout. It’s wonderful to see that employees take their health so seriously here. As was shared constantly during the week, being aware and knowledgeable of how to live healthy and being CPR certified can easily make the difference in saving a life.
