Corruption Perceptions Index 2012 – graphic of the day
The 2012 Corruption Perceptions Index ranks 176 countries by their perceived levels of public sector corruption. The index assigns scores of between one and 100, 1 being highly corrupt and 100 clean. In Transparency International’s index, Denmark, Finland and New Zealand tied for first place out of 176 countries. Afghanistan, North Korea and Somalia finished tied for last place. Today’s graphic shows the ten most corrupt and least corrupt countries and several in between.
