Beijing Operations Center HR team win the “Best HR Team Award”
Adding to our growing list of accolades in 2011, our Beijing Operations Center HR team was named the “Best HR Team” by the Beijing Human Resources Association (HRA). HRA is the most prestigious Human Resource Association in China. It has about 700 enterprises members, most of which are Fortune 500 companies and leading Chinese corporations. This year’s event in December was the inaugural “HRA Awards”.

The Beijing Operations Center experienced challenging stages during its establishment, including fast growth, merger, and reorganization. The number of employees has grown from 200 in 2006 when the site was established, to more than 1,200 in 2011.
“HR policies and talent development has been positioned as one of our site’s focus areas since the establishment and the HR team has done a great job,” said Justin Gao, site manager of the Beijing Operations Center.
The HR team worked closely and consistently to reinforce our four key values to strengthen the cohesion and commitment of staff in Beijing through:
- Adjusting recruiting channels
- Improving the staff benefit plan
- Setting up the Employee Assistance Program
- Co-working with business managers and global HR teams to carry out the localized programs such as Career Week and yearly employee appreciation event.
As commented by the HRA Board members, “Thomson Reuters Beijing Operations Center HR team has illustrated to us how they, on a team basis, provide creative solutions and comprehensive HR consultations to business managers by understanding the direction of business development and need, achieve the recognition from senior management, build up the trust among staff by a ‘human care’ and empathy working style. Thomson Reuters Beijing Operations Center HR team was one of the three winners who received the Best HR Team Award. A crystal trophy was delivered to Linda Zhang, head of HR for the Beijing Operations Center. This prestigious award was shared by the HR team with Linda’s grateful words to them: “You all are the best!”
