Bangkok Welcomes 200 IT Professionals on the Walk-In Interview Day
On Saturday April 28, the 31st floor lounge at the Bangkok Operational Center was crowded with more than 200 IT professionals who attended the Thomson Reuters Walk-In Interview day.
The event was kicked off by David Beattie, Thailand Senior Site Officer, who gave a brief talk on our business and the work being delivered by Bangkok. The participants then got to learn more about Thomson Reuters through a series of product demos, current employee interviews, job role presentations, and an active Q&A session. After the lunch break, each candidate had a panel interview with HR and one of our fifty managers who volunteered to help on the day. Candidates with good potential would be selected for further recruitment process in the upcoming weeks.
David commented on the rationale of the walk-in interview: “After so much change in recent months, this event should send a positive message to the IT community in Thailand that we are now ready to restart the growth engine and Bangkok will continue to play a critical role in the success of our business.”
Vichitra Sopon, head of human resources, Thailand and Indochina, was grateful for the people who contributed to the event: “Organizing an event of this scale requires a tremendous amount of preparation and coordination efforts. I must thank all the Bangkok employees for spreading the word about this event, and specifically to managers who sacrificed their Saturday to help us with the interviews and to my HR team members.”
